Bathrind by Allison James

_FontPreview600F.png

Bathrind

Named for: Originally this was going to be a dumb pun name (Birthdan) based on Chequered Ink cohort Dan’s birthday, but I ended up getting him an eShop voucher instead because that is a way better present than a font. The new name’s just an anagram of Birthdan.

Doubleplus by Allison James

_FontPreview600F.png

Doubleplus

Named for: The way of adding a greatness modifier in Newspeak from George Orwell’s 1984

Following on from the above, the font’s original name was Doubleplusgood but I shortened it for neatness. This is one of my personal favourite creations to date; in particularly, I think this is the best lower-case I’ve ever done. (My other favourite fonts, Front Page Neue and Queen of Clubs, have an inferior lower-case and no lower-case respectively.)
